The Sakai Festival, held in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, is a local festival organized by the Sakai Convention and Visitors Association. The venue spans about 1 km from Sakaihigashi Station to Sakai Station, as well as parts of the Uchikawa moat and Daido-suji, and it is held as an event where visitors can experience the history and culture of the area. This year marks the 51st edition of the festival, which also reached the milestone of its 50th anniversary. The theme logo features a burial mound, a World Heritage site, at its center, and the design shows seven rings representing Sakai's seven wards connecting to the children who will carry the future. The highlights are the matchlock gun corps demonstration and the futon-daiko carrying competition, where powerful performances are presented. In addition, a variety of stage performances, food, and various workshops and hands-on corners are lined up to entertain visitors.
