The Isawa Onsen Festival (Isawa Onsen Fireworks Display) is a summer tradition held every year in late August in the Isawa Onsen hot spring area of Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is organized by Fuefuki City and the Isawa Onsen Tourism Association, and the venue is the Fuefuki River riverbed in front of Fuefuki City Hall (downstream of Ukai Bridge). The 2025 event is scheduled for August 24 (Sunday) from 19:30 to 21:00, and will be postponed to the following day, the 25th, in case of bad weather.
Getting there
The nearest station is Isawa Onsen Station on the JR Chuo Main Line. From Tokyo, about 1 hour 30 minutes by the limited express Azusa or Kaiji. About 20 minutes on foot from the station.
