The Shizuoka Festival is held in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, over the three days from the first Friday to Sunday before April 17 each year (the anniversary of Tokugawa Ieyasu's death). It is an urban festival held when the cherry blossoms bloom, centered on the Ogo Sho Hanami Procession, which began in 1957.
