Shiratori Odori in Gujo, Gifu Prefecture, is a Bon dance held from mid-July to late August, and is characterized by dancing beneath hanging kiriko lanterns. In particular, an all-night dance is held from August 13 to 15, attracting participants from all over Japan.
Getting there
Get off at Mino-Shiratori Station on the JR Takayama Main Line, then about a 5-minute walk. Or about a 5-minute drive from the Shiratori IC on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway. Parking available.
