The annual festival of Kita Wakamiya Shrine, held every year on April 19 and 20 in Furukawa-cho, Hida City. It consists of a mikoshi (portable shrine) procession, the okoshi-daiko drums, and a parade of nine yatai (festival floats). It is registered as a nationally important intangible folk cultural property and as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
