The Iwamura Castle Town Hina Matsuri is the largest hina matsuri (Doll Festival) event in the area, held in Iwamura-cho, Ena City, Gifu Prefecture. The 24th edition in 2026 runs from March 1 to April 3, with hina dolls displayed at about 100 locations. Iwamura-cho retains the historic streetscape of a former castle town, and visitors can walk through streets with an Edo atmosphere and past the eaves of old houses to see the ohina-sama dolls carefully arranged by each household and facility. During the period the whole town is decorated with hina displays, and it is familiar as a seasonal sign of spring's arrival. Highlights include hina dolls from various periods exhibited at merchant houses and museums, and the hina tour that can be enjoyed while walking around the town.
