A once-in-a-decade shikinen shinkosai (periodic procession festival) of Shiroyama Inari Shrine held in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, and one of Japan's three great boat festivals. About 100 kaitenma boats form a large procession, and kaitenma dances are offered on board. Over the nine days of the festival, the Togyo-sai, Chunichi-sai, and Kango-sai are held.
Getting there
The area around the venue becomes very crowded, so using public transportation is preferable.
