This festival began in 1608 (Keicho 13) when Miyakawa Hyobu Shoyu Hideyuki, a heishu norito priest of Sada Shrine, brought back the forms of Noh drama from Kyoto. It starts each year on September 24 with the nighttime Gozagaeshishinji and Shichiza ceremonies, then continues on the 25th with the regular grand festival, followed by Shikisanban and Shinto Noh.
Getting there
About 30 minutes by bus from JR Matsue Station, get off at Sadajinjamae and walk immediately.
