The Fuigo Festival is a summer festival held in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, and is officially known as the Seki Furusato Summer Festival, reaching its 43rd edition in 2025. It takes place in the area around the Honmachi-dori shopping street in Seki, organized by the Seki Furusato Summer Festival Executive Committee and co-organized by the Honmachi-dori Shopping Street Association, the Seki Commerce and Industry Cooperative, and the city of Seki. The festival's name "fuigo" comes from the bellows used by swordsmiths, reflecting Seki's history as a town known for cutlery. The highlights are a variety of performances on four stages set up along Honmachi-dori: the DJ & Music Stage, the Street Performance Stage, the Otoko-jima Live Stage, and the Seki Citizens' Live Stage, featuring dance, music, a cosplay parade, and a drum and bugle corps parade. Many food stalls and festival games are also set up, and visitors can particularly enjoy a talk show by director Junichiro Yagi of "Kaiju Yaro!" and a haunted house. Bon dancing and mochi and candy scattering are also held, making this a lively summer tradition where local residents and visitors come together. The Fuigo Festival is held in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, and officially reaches its 43rd edition in 2025 as the Seki Furusato Summer Festival.
