The Ogi Yamahiki Gion Festival is a summer festival held every year on the fourth Sunday of July in Ogi Town, Ogi City, Saga Prefecture. Each of the three districts — Kamimachi, Nakamachi, and Shimomachi — builds an elaborately designed yama (float), which is pulled from the Shimomachi intersection in Ogi to Suga Shrine and offered there. The festival takes place around Suga Shrine and is cherished by locals as an event symbolizing local tradition and unity.
