This is a votive event of the annual festival of Yagumo Shrine in Nasukarasuyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, known especially as a festival where kabuki is performed on temporary stages set up in the city area. A complete set of handmade mountain and stage apparatus — 7 meters wide, over 10 meters high, and 100 meters deep — is assembled, and performances such as shosagoto (kabuki) and kagura are offered as entertainment while parading through the town.
