The Yachi Hina Festival is held in Kahoku Town, Yamagata Prefecture, from February 14 to April 8. Along the Hina Market street in Yachi, around the Kahoku Town Hall, the Hina Market opens, where visitors can enjoy eating while strolling and walking around. At various locations such as Akiba Shrine, the Benibana Museum, Yachi Hachimangu Shrine, and old private houses in the town, historical hina dolls handed down in storehouses and merchant houses are put on display. In front of the Hina Mound in the grounds of Akiba Shrine, a hina memorial service is held, offering hina dishes to old hina dolls and paper effigies, praying for health and happiness. In addition, there are many events to experience hina culture, such as a demonstration and hands-on workshop of kimekomi dolls by the Iwatsuki Doll Association, a hina festival tea ceremony and a hina doll transformation experience at the Benibana Museum, and a ride on the Imoko Train at Kahoku Central Park.

The nearest station is Sakurambo-Higashine Station. A free town circulation shuttle bus, a free shuttle bus between Sakurambo-Higashine Station and Kahoku Town Hall, and a route bus (200 yen one way) are in operation.
