A folk event for the Little New Year held every year on February 11 in Kaminoyama, Yamagata Prefecture. Kase-dori wearing a straw raincoat called a kendai parade through the city chanting "kakkakka," while onlookers splash them with celebratory water, praying for a good harvest and protection against fire.

About 15 minutes on foot from JR Kaminoyama-Onsen Station. About 15 minutes from the Tohoku-Chuo Expressway Yamagata-Kaminoyama IC / Kaminoyama-Onsen IC. Parking available (Kaminoyama Castle First Plaza and other locations).
