Official site →The Urahoro Furusato no Minori Festival in Urahoro, Hokkaido, is a large harvest celebration giving thanks for the autumn bounty. Held every year at Urahoro Forest Park, the 2024 edition is the 48th, making it a long-established event. The festival expresses gratitude for the abundant autumn harvest and is enjoyed as an opportunity to experience Urahoro's food and culture. On the day, there are stage performances including guest song shows and comedy acts, as well as mochimaki (a rice cake toss, called minori-maki here), a grab-and-catch event for autumn smelt, and a stamp rally where participants can win local specialty products. With plenty of activities for everyone from children to adults, it is a day that lets visitors feel the arrival of autumn.

To the venue, Urahoro Forest Park, it is about 10 minutes by car from JR Urahoro Station. Public transportation is limited, so arriving by car is convenient.
