The Ubagami Daijingu Togyo Festival is a summer festival held every year from August 9 to 11 in Esashi, Hokkaido, in which 13 dashi (festival floats) accompany the mikoshi (portable shrine) procession, parading to pray for good harvests, good fishing, and freedom from illness. Its origins date back about 370 years to the early Edo period, and it is one of the oldest festivals in Hokkaido, tracing its lineage to the Gion tradition of Kyoto.
