The Takayama Fudo Taisai is a traditional event held every year on April 28 and 29 at Joraku-in (Takayama Fudo) in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture. It is a festival dating back to the Edo period, held to pray for fire prevention and protection from misfortune, and features a goma-burning ritual and a chigo procession (a parade of children in traditional attire). The highlights are the great goma offering in front of the main hall and the colorful chigo procession.
