The Shintotsukawa Taste Festival is held every October in Shintotsukawa, Hokkaido, and is an event for enjoying the seasonal flavors of the town as it welcomes the autumn harvest. In past years, about 5,000 visitors gathered at the venue, the plaza in front of the Shintotsukawa Rural Environment Improvement Center Miraie (Kita Chuo Park). It is held with the aim of tasting ingredients harvested locally, and in 2025 it reached its 26th edition. On the day, a special mushroom hot pot using plenty of bunashimeji mushrooms from Totsukawa Village, the town's mother village, and freshly milled and freshly made new soba are sold. The Shintotsukawa brand rice Yumepirika can be sampled for free and purchased at a discount, and fresh agricultural products from farmers in the town are sold directly. From Gojo, Nara Prefecture, a friendship and exchange partner city, the Tone Wase persimmon, which has the largest production volume in Japan, is also sold. At the venue, there are taiko drum performances by Kotsukuri and a fun raffle where the top prize is one straw bag of new rice.
