Juninimachi is a year-end market held every year on December 12, centered on Tsuki Shrine in Urawa Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, and continuing since the Meiji era. It runs from 11:00 to 21:30 at Tsuki Shrine, Tsuki Park, and along the old Nakasendo (Saitama Prefectural Route 213, Magumoto Saitama Line) from the Kishimachi Community Center intersection to the Urawa Station west exit intersection, and is known as a seasonal fixture of the year's end in Saitama. The highlight is the "Kakkome Market (Kumade Market)" held in the grounds of Tsuki Shrine, which bustles with people seeking kumade good-luck rakes for health in the new year and prosperity in business. About 1,000 stalls line the old Nakasendo, and crowds of about 150,000 people come each year. The nearest access is Tsuki Shrine, about a 10-minute walk from the JR Urawa Station west exit, and you can stroll around the shrine grounds and the surrounding streets.

Getting there

10 minutes on foot from Urawa Station west exit (Tsuki Shrine). Bicycle parking is provided at the Kishimachi Community Center and on the east side of Tsuki Park, but there is no parking for cars.
