The IWAMIZAWA Dokasnow Festival is a snow festival held every February at the Ekihigashi Shimin Hiroba and Aka Renga venues in Iwamizawa, Hokkaido. As an event for enjoying winter in Iwamizawa, one of Hokkaido's leading snowy towns, the 2026 edition will run over two days, February 7 and 8. Along with the giant slide, jumbo karuta, and chibikko ningen banba that children flock to enjoy, the annual Ningen Banba Championship, which heats up every year, is a highlight. The Dokasnow Yatai Village appears in the venue, where visitors can eat warm food, and free servings of tonjiru and kiji nabe are also given out in limited quantities. At the Aka Renga venue, brass band performances by the Iwamizawa Matsuri Brass and dance performances are held, offering two days unique to winter that combine snow play with music and food.
