The Obihiro Ice Festival is a winter event held at Midorigaoka Park in Obihiro, Hokkaido, organized by the Obihiro Festival Promotion Committee. In 2026 it runs for three days, from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, from 10:00 to 20:00 (until 17:00 on the final day). As a festival for enjoying the winter of Tokachi and Obihiro, it is widely enjoyed by everyone from families to tourists. At the venue, beautiful ice sculptures are displayed, along with play equipment popular with children such as a giant ice slide, spinning sleds, and an ice slider. Snow activities such as curling experiences, stage shows, and a lantern festival are among the many events held throughout the three days. At the Ice Marche, visitors can taste delicious food from Tokachi, enjoying winter in Obihiro along with food and drink. Some attractions require a fee.
