The Hanno Festival is held every autumn in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. It combines traditional events such as dashi and yatai float parades, i-bayashi (traditional festival music), and shishimai (lion dance) with a citizens' parade, food stalls, and stage events. Local residents and visitors gather together, and the city center—including Hanno Chuo-dori and Hanno Station front street—bustles with activity. Over two days, the event features the hiki-awase (bringing together) and all-at-once display of all 11 dashi floats, the Kosedo lion dance of Koyasu Sengen Shrine, i-bayashi performances by each hayashi group, and a mikoshi (portable shrine) procession by the Hanno Itchome Mikoshi Hozonkai. In addition, a variety of events are held, including a citizens' parade, yosakoi dancing, outdoor concerts, a sightseeing products market, and a marche, entertaining visitors.

Getting there

About 5 minutes on foot from the north exit of Hanno Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. By car, about 10 minutes from the Hanno IC on the Ken-o Expressway.
