It can be enjoyed in the area just a short walk from Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway, and viewing is free. This festival, which has continued since 1921, has been cherished as a traditional event representing summer in Gora Onsen. On the day, the Daimonji-yaki is held on the slopes of Mount Myojo from 19:30, and a collaboration with launched fireworks can be seen. Soaking in the baths or footbaths of hot spring inns while viewing the large character and fireworks rising into the night sky is a way to enjoy the festival unique to Gora.
