The Takaoka Mikurumayama Festival is the spring grand festival held every year on May 1 at Takaoka Sekino Shrine in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. Seven gorgeously decorated yamaboko (festival floats) parade through the center of the old city district, and the festival is registered as both an Important Tangible and Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
