The Iizume Inari Shrine Hadaka Mairi, held at the Narumi residence's Iizume Inari Shrine in Goshogawara City, is a traditional event that takes place from New Year's Eve through the New Year. Worshippers walk through the cold wearing only fundoshi (loincloths), praying for freedom from illness and the safety of their households. Its rough yet sacred appearance is familiar as a winter tradition.
