The Katsuta Shrine Reitaisai is a traditional annual festival held twice a year, in spring and autumn, at Katsuta Shrine in Bakurocho, Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture. It takes place on the 14th and 15th of April and October, with a yomatsuri (eve festival) held on the first day, the 14th. Katsuta Shrine, one of the oldest shrines in Yonago, is known affectionately by local residents as "Kanda-san" and sits about a 15-minute walk from JR Yonago Station. The shrine is believed to confer blessings for business prosperity and a wide range of other benefits, and roughly 5,000 visitors come to the festival each year. Through its two annual observances, the spring and autumn festivals, the shrine's long-standing traditions are passed down, and the event is deeply rooted as an essential local festival for the people of Yonago.
