A kiriko festival held every year on the first Saturday of August in Ishizaki-machi, Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and the annual rite of dedication at Ishizaki Hachiman Shrine. About 100 carriers shoulder a large hōtō measuring 13 to 15 meters tall and weighing roughly 2 tons, parading it through the narrow alleys of this fishing town.
