A summer festival in Osaki, Miyagi Prefecture, held since 1947. The streets are decorated with streamers and Tanabata ornaments, and events include the Furukawa Dance, taiko drum parades, and a creative mikoshi (portable shrine) parade. Food and product stalls from sister cities and concurrently held events can also be enjoyed.

Getting there

15 minutes on foot from Furukawa Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line. 10 minutes by car from Furukawa Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway.
