The Setomono Festival, held in Seto, Aichi Prefecture on September 13 and 14, 2025, is a long-established industry festival organized by the Seto Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Grand Setomono Festival Sponsorship Association, among others. Centered on Owari-Seto Station on the Meitetsu Seto Line, the venue extends throughout the city, showcasing the appeal of Seto ware. The festival began in 1932 as an industry festival honoring the legacy of Kato Tamakichi, the father of porcelain, and marks its 94th edition in 2025. It has a long history of supporting Seto's ceramic culture and has now grown to one of the largest scale in the country. The main attraction is the Setomono Great Bargain Market, said to be the largest in Japan, drawing people from across the country to the banks of the Seto River and other areas. Over the two days, visitors can also enjoy a variety of events, including the Hoto dance offering and ceremonies at Kamagami Shrine, workshops, food, and music events.
