Akachan Dohyoiri is a ceremony dedicated at Minatohashira Shrine in Kaiyo, Tokushima Prefecture. Held every autumn, it features adorable babies wearing mawashi (sumo belts) entering the sumo ring. This traditional event prays for the healthy growth of the babies and is carried out under the watchful eyes of local residents. The highlight is the lovable dohyoiri performed with the babies nearly naked, and it is cherished as a seasonal autumn tradition of the town.
