The largest event at Suwa Taisha, held once every seven years in the years of the Tiger and the Monkey. It is a series of rituals in which 16 large fir trees, over 17 meters tall and 150 years old, are dragged down from the mountains and erected at the four corners of the shrine buildings of Suwa Taisha.

Getting there

To access each shrine of Suwa Taisha, taxis or local buses are available from JR Chuo Main Line's Kamisuwa Station or Chino Station. For details, please check the access page on the official website.
