Kashihara Jingu Spring Grand Festival is a rite held every year on April 2 and 3 at Kashihara Jingu in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, and is known locally as "Jimmu-san." The spring grand festival refers to the Gochinza Kinen-sai, which celebrates the day the shrine was enshrined on land connected to Emperor Jimmu, and the Jimmu Tenno-sai, which honors Emperor Jimmu's sacred deeds; the custom of "Jimmu renzo" has been passed down since ancient times. The main events are the offering of the miko's "Ogi-mai" and "Okina-mai" at the Gochinza Kinen-sai on the 2nd, and the performance of "Urayasu no Mai" at the Jimmu Tenno-sai on the 3rd. At 1 p.m. on the same day, the Nara Prefecture-designated intangible folk cultural property "Kuzu-so" is offered, and within the grounds celebratory events such as "Spring Encounter Jimmu-san" are also held. In early April, "Hana no Shita Renga Hono" is held under the cherry blossoms, and many worshippers visit.
