The Niinamesai Aonuma Doburoku Festival is held at Kasuga Shrine in Namegata, Ibaraki Prefecture. As part of the Niinamesai (harvest festival giving thanks for the five grains), doburoku (unrefined sake) is offered in a Shinto ritual and then served to worshippers. The highlight is the ceremony in which the doburoku offered before the deities is drunk; it is said to be sweet and easy to drink. For specific dates and events, check information from the Namegata City Tourism Association.
